According to this report, VF Corporation is selling its brand Nautica to the Authentic Brands Group, LLC.
Nautica is licensed among others for outerwear, watches, furniture, perfume, swim wear, home textile, accessories and underwear.
The acquisition will be finalized during the first half of 2018.
Nautica, which until now produced men’s and women’s underwear in-house, has signed a licensing agreement with Carole Hochman Design Group, a division of Komar.
American brand Nautica has issued another license for home textiles.
The US company, Revman International, is the licensee for North America for fashion bedding.
Revman will start distributing Nautica products in spring 2012 to retail outlets across the US, Mexico and Canada.
Already Revman holds licenses from Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Perry Ellis, Columbia, Laura Ashley and others.
Raj Manufacturing Inc. will sell women’s swimsuits under the Nautica Apparel Inc. brand.
Nautica is part of apparel licensing company VF Corp. and sells clothes for men, women and children.
Raj makes and sells swimsuits under licenses from St. John Knits International Inc., Hurley International LLC, Guess Inc. and others. Raj is also owned by VF Corp.
Current licensee Mainstream Swimsuits Inc. will continue to sell Nautica women’s swimsuits through June.
Nautica Apparel Inc., a subsidiary of Nautica Enterprises, Inc., a division of VF Corporation today announced it has signed a new global licensing agreement to develop, produce and market fragrances and beauty products for the Nautica brand.
Under the terms of the agreement, new prestige fragrances will be launched in department stores and the existing Nautica fragrance brands: Nautica Classic for men and women, Latitude Longitude and Nautica Competition will be distributed.
