As reported here, Valentino has signed a license agreement for fragrances and beauty products.
The licensee is L’Oreal. Before, fragrances were licensed to Puig Beauty & Fashion Group S. L. with labels like Valentino Donna, Valentino Uomo, and Valentina.
The territory is worldwide. The license will start January 2019.
Valentino S.p.A. announced a ten year license agreement with Luxottica Group.
This is the third Valentino licensee after Marchon Eyewear Inc and Safilo Group.
The ten year agreement will start in January 2017.
The eyewear market for brand licenses remains turbulent.
After Ferragamo and Lacoste, now Valentino is moving its eyewear to the same licensee. As of January 2012 Marchon will hold the license. Marchon also holds brands like Jil Sander, Michael Kors, Diesel, Nike, etc.
Until now the Ferragamo license had been with Safilo Group.
The perfume license of Valentino has moved as well.
The prestigious brand was one of the core licenses of powerhouse P&G. A while ago P&G entered the arena of luxury business and the Valentino brand was vital in that move.
Now the license is held by the licensee, who also holds perfume licenses from Prada, Paco Rabanne, Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera and others.
